The Cynosure device emits a laser light to a group of hair follicles with enough energy to destroy the root, but not enough power to harm the surrounding skin. This process is called selective photothermolysis. It is selective because it targets only the hair and not the skin. “Photo” means light and “thermolysis” means destroying with heat. The surrounding skin is cooled simultaneously with a cooling device. Most patients need at least six or more treatments for significant hair reduction. Our laser is safe on all skin types.
The 1064 wavelength is a direct beam of light that is attracted to the Hemoglobin in the vessel. The vein coagulates and is then slowly absorbed by the body and diminishes over a few weeks time period. Results can sometimes be seen immediately or within three to four weeks. Some patients need to have several treatments depending on the amount of vessels in a particular area. The treatments need to be scheduled 4-6 weeks apart.
PIXEL PERFECT is an aesthetic laser treatment that lifts away years from your face. This new technology stimulates new collagen formation to improve your skin's texture and tone. Pixel works by creating thousands of microscopic perforations, but the skin around each of these perforations remains intact. This allows your skin's top layer to heal very rapidly. This treatment works best on patients with sun damage, fine line and wrinkles, and acne scarring.
This laser procedure is designed for patients with vascular and pigmented lesions. AFT's selective pulsed light energy is precisely absorbed by the target areas, without damaging healthy skin. Selectively heating and closing off blood vessels, AFT pulsed light reduces the lesions, while sparing nearby tissue from injury. With pigmented lesions, the light energy heats the melanin in the lesion and causes it to fragment. The melanin fragments are then absorbed by the body and eliminated.
The 755 Alexandrite laser wavelength works on removing or lighting pigmented skin lesions, or “age spots”, most of these discolorations are caused from prolonged sun exposure. The laser light is designed for its properties that selectively target dark concentrations of melanin (pigment). The lesion treated will turn a darker color for a few days post treatment, then will fade and flake off over a couple of weeks.
